Essence of Yoga Winter  Immersion
with Panos

7-Day Journey

28 November - 5 December 2026

The Evergreen Project, Central Greece

Follow our head teacher Panos into our mountain ashram for a week-long deep-dive into the core of Yoga philosophy: the Bhagavad Gita.

Sometimes, something stops working. A direction that made sense no longer does. A life that looked right from the outside begins to feel hollow from the inside. The certainties that carried you this far reach their limit, and what remains is a discomfort that is difficult to name. Not exactly sadness, not exactly fear, but a persistent sense that something essential is missing.

This is not a personal failure. It is the most human experience there is. And the Gita begins exactly there, with a capable, experienced person who has done everything right, and who cannot keep going without change. Arjuna on the battlefield is not a distant, heroic figure from ancient India. He is the person who wakes up one morning and realises that it is no longer possible to ignore the feeling that life could be more meaningful, that the life they have been living is not quite the life they were meant to live, and that the voice calling to adventure is not to be further ignored.

This immersion is for that person.

What the week is:

Seven days in a mountain community in Central Greece. Morning practice, afternoon philosophy, evening ceremony. Forest, fire, silence, and the sustained inquiry that comes from being away from ordinary life long enough to start remembering who you are. Panos’ teaching of the ancient text speaks to the modern seeker, revealing the perennial wisdom practically and with the needed patience, creating a supportive space that allows the transformation to begin. The teaching moves through the Gita as an allegorical map of human maturation. Not through the distance of a religious text, nor as ancient philosophy, but as a living mirror for what is happening in your life right now. We will work through the understanding of the constant crisis and what it is trying to tell us. Through the inner battlefield and how to stand on it without collapsing. Through the nature of action, responsibility, dharma, and what it means to live in alignment with who you actually are rather than who you have told yourself to be. The Gita does not offer comfort. It offers something more useful: maturation. The kind that comes not from having the right answers but from finally asking the right questions.

The place:

The Evergreen Project is our off-grid community and working land in Anavra, in the Kallídhromo mountains of Central Greece. This is where Panos’ and Evergreen’s life work culminates into a place that is there to hold the space for change and growth.Late November at this altitude is cold and still — the kind of cold that makes the fire necessary and the silence complete. There is no ambient noise here. There is space for the kind of attention that ordinary life does not permit. The accommodation is simple. The meals are communal. The days are full. You will sleep better than you have in months.

The teacher:

Panos Katsandris has been studying and teaching yoga and philosophy for fifteen years. His lineage traces to Krishnamacharya through Shiva Rea. He has published a study guide to the Bhagavad Gita in English and is completing a second book — a sustained allegorical reading of the text. His teaching is immersive, experiential, inspiring, patient, methodical, revealing. This immersion is drawn directly from that work and from fifteen years of bringing the Gita into the practice room, the retreat space, and the conversations that follow.
